Hi Susie, just came on your site after a long time.  I see you are into Labs now, they are nice dogs, much easier to groom than the Springers hey!!  Trudy is doing great, she is a real doll, we love her to bits.  She is the first CKC Agility champion, so she has made history that little girl of ours.  We are training obedience right now to try and earn our CDX and will go back to agility in the Spring.

Hope all is well, Michelle (will send some pictures)

Hi Susie,

Sorry I haven’t gotten back sooner.  I still need to move all my pics from my camera and other computer to this one.  I have more recent pics of Sadie that I promise to get to you, including some great ones of her swimming last summer.  She is a really great Frisbee catcher…and loves the snow!  Here is the only pic I have loaded onto this laptop.

The attached pic was when she was still growing, she was about 6 months old here…it was right before she was spayed.  It is so ‘true’ to her character.  She is such a lovebug, sweet, playful, with just the right amount of sassiness!  She is extremely affectionate, but is very independent.  She is an extremely quick learner, and so smart!  I promise to send more recent pics so you can see how beautiful she is as an adult.  She is the most beautiful dog I’ve seen.  Her colors, shape, size, structure are perfect.  I hope you breed her mom & dad again.  Take care!

Susie,

I wanted to send you a quick note.  I wanted to give you an update on Flower (Roxy) from the Wintersmile litter.

She has been and absolute joy!  She has not gone to the bathroom in her crate at all and is starting to understand that she needs to go outside to go to the bathroom.  She has had very few accidents inside.  Our friends cannot believe how calm and well behaved she is.  She is certainly a fast learner!!!

She also went to the Vet and he could not get over how great her bone structure was.  He said it had been a a long time since he had seen such a great English Lab!!

Thanks again,

Dorothy

Hi Susie.  Just letting you know that Griffey is a wonderful puppy and too cute!  He's the smartest puppy we've had.  We finished puppy kindergarten and will go on from there.  At his 4 month vet check-up he weighed 31 pounds and is in perfect health (not to mention extra love from the office there).  Amazingly enough, at his first check up one of the Vets asked if he was one of Gandolfs pups!  He really is a beauty...full of life and very happy.  I'll keep you updated as he grows.  Thanks again for helping us find the perfect pup to add to our family.  Sincerely, Teri Owens

Susie, I hope all is well with you and yours, I'm attaching some pics of Gus that we took today over on Knotts Island NC today. I thought you would like to see him all grown up and looking great. You may notice in the picture that Gus has his paw lifted, he almost always does this when he is retrieving which is his favorite thing to do. Gus will retrieve on land or in water for as long as you can throw, he is a machine. Gus is a great dog and our very best friend we enjoy everything about him, you have done a great job and we thank you so much. Christina and I check out your website regularly and noticed that you are breeding Kissy who is one of our favorites. If you have a yellow female from her that comes available we would love to have her as a companion for Gus and our family. Thanks again for breeding a great lab and we hope to hear from you in the near future, Andy.=

She learned to go up and down  the two steps between kitchen and living room after a couple days and after about 4 days was doing the full stairs from our back deck to the yard! She’s also gotten a lot less “toothy” over the course of the week and now nuzzles and kisses rather than leading with her teeth. She’s very eager to get to know the cats and we’ve actually had one nose-touching moment, but the feline society is a bit guarded about the whole thing and it may take a bit more time before they are all rubbing up against one another.  Harriet’s been working very hard on the socialization (Tiggy’s, not Harriet’s – Harriet is actually pretty social though sometimes needs translation assistance J ). There has been no shortage of friends eager to come over to see the puppy of course. As soon as Tiggy’s had her second round of shots we’ll be getting her out in public more, with a training class not far down the road.
So no crisis questions yet! We’re enjoying her very much and appreciate the help with the house training!
All the best
Casey

Hi Susie – just wanted to let you know how well Tiggy (nee Argyle) has been doing. We can’t believe it’s only been a week that we’ve had her. She settled in VERY quickly and started sleeping through the night (9pm to 5:30am) after only 2 nights. We have her crate tucked to the side between the living room and kitchen (we spend 90% of the day in one of those two rooms) and have a 4’ X 6’ pen extending out from her crate.  She naps during the day and evening in the pen area but if really tired goes in her crate on her own (otherwise we slip her in there at 10 without any complaints).

Hi Susie,
Here's a recent picture of the puppies....hard to believe they just turned 5 months!  Seamus (male on the right) is beginning to look more and more like his daddy (Manly).  They are sooo good and people stop us all the time to tell us how gorgeous they are...I must agree!  Personalities are really developing...Deacon (female on left) is mischievous and happy all the time - it's like she's always smiling.  Seamus is a love bug...he cuddles with us all the time.  They both have graduated from Puppy School and we're on to Basic Obedience in a couple of weeks.  They we both the stars of their class!
Hope all is well...looks like you're busy with new litters on the way. Good Luck!
Thanks,
Heather Duncan

Hi Susie,
I just wanted to give you an update and let you know how great Quincy is doing.  He is such a great puppy. He is definitely more active then I remember Layla being, but it's probably because he always has a playmate to play with!  We are in obedience classes now and he is doing so good!  We are struggling with leash walking, but its only because he has so much energy!  He absolutely lover the pool.  I carried him in the pool with me two times and let him swim to the steps and 5 minutes later he was jumping in on his own.  I don't think layla likes having to share the pool with him too much, but he doesn't care.  He is obsessed with the hose and actually taught himself how to turn it on and off.  We always have to make sure the water is turned off in the back from the house or else he is constantly turning the hose on.  He spends hours playing with it.  Its really weird too cause after the water terns off he goes crazy sniffing the paths of where the water was.  I think he would make a great tracking dog.  I'll take a video of him with the hose and send it to you.
He just go neutered wednesday and microchipped.  It's hard keeping him calm cause all he wants to do is play!  Its funny how different him and layla are at times.  As a puppy she learned to open doors so we had to change all the door knobs in the house cause she was constantly opening the door when people were

in the bathroom or she would open the door to the laundry room and eat all the cats food.  With him he learned the hose and have spayed a lot of people against there will.  She likes to cuddle and sleep on the bed and be warm. He likes to sleep by himself on the marble by the fire place or outside.  If I put a blanket in his cage he takes it out.  Layla isn't a big eater and he eats every meal like its his last.  He even carries around his food bowl all over the house and sometimes sleeps by it.  Layla likes to sleep in and he is up every day at 7am. He sleeps on his back and layla wont even roll over on hers. He loves to get a bath and layla hates to( she prefers a shower).  He loves the hose and layla will run in the house if its on.  They are very different dogs, but get along great now.  They both have a love of the pool and playing ball! Thank you again for such a great dog and for putting up with my constant questions.  If I ever decide to get another puppy I wouldn't want to get one from anyone else but you!
Thanks again,Rachel
ps, as of wednesday he already weighs 49 lbs, I think he is going to be a big boy!

Hi Suzie,
We wanted to update you on how Bodie is doing!  He is such an awesome dog!  He’s super playful, yet calm at the same time.  He did great the 1st night in his crate and hardly cried at all. But last night he cried hard for about 5 minutes, then went to sleep. I think it’s great for his 1st couple of nights!  We just adore him so much! I’ll send some pictures soon.
Thanks for everything!

Laura
